Toro owns the fleet and the irrigation telemetry - myTurf Pro, Intelli360, IntelliDash and Lynx are best-in-class for an all-Toro shop. Pinly is the AI-native operations layer that sits above the fleet: daily planning, crew app, peer-reviewed disease models, growth-potential nutrition, polygon course mapping, compliance records and reporting in one product. They overlap less than you'd think - and the parts that do overlap are where the honest comparison lives.
13 features that move the buying decision - drawn from a public competitor research review of myTurf Pro, Intelli360, IntelliDash and the partner taskTracker / Playbooks integrations. Honest "partial" and "no" marks where they apply, on both sides.
These aren't marketing claims - they're the rows in the table above where the Toro stack has nothing comparable in its public marketing as of May 2026.
Every morning at 4:30 AM, Pinly reviews tomorrow's weather, turf-growth forecast, disease risk, staff availability and your standing instructions - then generates a full daily schedule with a plain-English reason next to every task. You review and adjust rather than building from scratch. Toro's stack covers fleet, irrigation and dashboards; the AI layer that takes "always cut greens before first tee, never spray with wind over 15 km/h" and rebuilds a 14-person daily plan around it isn't part of myTurf, Intelli360 or IntelliDash today. We're not the only AI scheduling claim in the category - GreenSight TurfCloud has a similar pitch - but Pinly's planner is conditioned on integrated agronomic models, not just past scheduling habits.
Pinly's disease engine implements nine turf-pathology models. The four foundation models are Smith-Kerns 2018 logistic regression for Dollar Spot (Damon Smith and Jim Kerns, PLOS ONE 13:3 e0194216), Fidanza et al. 1996 hourly RH-and-minimum-temperature criteria for Brown Patch (Phytopathology 86:385), Nutter 1983 three-criteria rule for Pythium (Plant Disease 67:1126) - all three implemented as written - plus a leaf-wetness-primary Microdochium model based on the Dwyer 2017 polynomial (Int. Turfgrass Soc. Res. J. 13:139). On top of those, Pinly adds Anthracnose (daily ASI), Red Thread (with N-status modifier), Drechslera (max of cool- and warm-season scores), and two soil-temperature-driven root diseases - Take-All and Pythium Root Rot. Growth Potential is the work of Wendy Gelernter and Larry Stowell at PACE Turf. The science isn't ours and we never claim it is. What's ours is closing the loop: the same risk forecast that flags a high-Microdochium morning also schedules the spray, deducts the fungicide from inventory and writes the application record. Toro's compliance partner Playbooks is a chemical-record and label-library tool - not a peer-reviewed disease forecasting engine. Bridging that gap with Syngenta GreenCast or PACE Turf is what most superintendents do today; Pinly removes the bridge.
A full Toro operations setup at most championship venues is five subscriptions: myTurf Pro for fleet, Intelli360 for telematics, IntelliDash for the superintendent dashboard, taskTracker (ASB / foreUP / Clubessential) for labour, and Playbooks for chemical compliance. Five logins, five sales contacts, five renewal cycles, and the integration glue between them is the customer's problem on the day something breaks. Pinly is one product covering planning, crew, agronomy, compliance and reporting - with an integrations roadmap for the OEM-specific layers (Toro Lynx, Intelli360 telematics, ezLocator) we don't replace. For a head greenkeeper who'd rather spend the morning meeting on greens than on vendor admin, that's the trade.
A comparison page that only flatters its own product isn't worth reading. Here are three places the Toro stack has a real, current advantage Pinly can't match in May 2026.
IntelliDash pulls Lynx Cloud and Lynx Fusion data directly - runtimes, ET, soil-moisture from Toro Turf Guard - alongside the rest of the dashboard. For a course running Toro Lynx, that's genuinely best-in-class and Pinly has no equivalent integration today. It's on our roadmap; we won't claim it shipped before it has.
Intelli360 wireless hour meters and onboard telematics auto-feed engine hours and fault codes into myTurf Pro service intervals - no walking the shed reading meters. Pinly logs hours from the crew task that used the machine, but we don't ingest Intelli360 telemetry directly. For a heavy Toro fleet that lives or dies by service-interval discipline, that's a real gap.
Toro's UK & Ireland distributor (Reesink Turfcare) has been at most clubs for over a decade - trained service techs, parts on the shelf, BIGGA-aligned relationships with the head greenkeeper. myTurf Pro itself is a 10+ year old product. Pinly is the new entrant; we're winning early customers on product, not on dealer-network maturity.
